starter wont fit perfectly

I am trying to replace my starter with a powermaster ultratorque starter however when i put the starter in i can get it to engage and hit the flywheel and turn it over a few times however it quickly gets stuck. So i beleive the problem is the bolts are not at the exact torque that they should be if anyone has any suggestions or hopefully the torque that the bolts should be any help would be great thanx

Does shimming the starter out help at all? Have you tried shimming the starter?
