Car Wont Idle When Warmed Up. Please Help...

Ok, before I tell you the problems, I want to kind of tell you what has changed on my car in the past couple months. First off, I had a cam put in about two months ago, it isnt anything great, just a little better than stock, then I got the timing chain, and harmonic balancer, and pretty much the whole front end re-done. For the past couple months the car has been running EXCELLENT, without any idiling problems or any stalling or nothing. It has been running like it just drove off the showroom floor back in '82.. But the past couple weeks once the car is warmed up (after about 20 min of driving ) the cars idle will go crazy, like it will drop to 500rpm and shoot to 2500 rpm, and your not even touching the gas pedal. It keeps jumping up and down until the car turns off, it will always fire right back up, but the idle will be just as bad. what can be causing this? it ran for two months perfect and now the idle is way crazy, and one more thing, if the intake gasket is not sealed all the way could it cause something like this? I dont think that it has an intake leak, but a couple people told me thats probably my problem.. here is also some info about my engine. please give me any insight if you can. This car has been GREAT until now. And yes, I know its a 305 crossfire, but it has been a very reliable and great car before and after the cam went in.. thanks!

It may be your o2 sensor. When the car is warm it goes closed loop and everything is pretty much decided by the reading from this sensor. I had similar problems until I changed mine.

Something else to look at is the coolant temp sensor. In the later 3rd gens, many of the tables in the computer are dictated by the coolant temp and a malfunctioning sensor will mess the computer up bad. I believe the computer ingnores the CTS until it comes goes to closed loop mode, but I'm, not 100%sure on that.
