MAF manufactuer question.
Not sure if this is the right place or not to ask this, but here goes. I took my car into a shop this morning, small local place, smart guy working there, he put my car on a Snap-on scanner, very nice scanner too. It told him my MAF was bad, even though I just put a brand new one in! I have a Bosch from advance auto parts on it, lifetime warranty, so do they have a history of being bad out of the box like that? or are they somewhat dependable? THanks!

Well if he put a scanner on there and just replaced the maf, thats dumb. It more than likely a bad MAF burnoff relay. 12 dollar parts from advanced auto

Replaced the burn off and power relays before I put the new MAF on, the scanner actually called out the MAF and the burn off relay and said to relocate in case they were getting water.
