tricks to getting old play dough off pistons?? :(

I know, I know..."How F*ing stupid dude!". I had some play dough on one of the pistons to check piston/valve clearance. I got most of it off, and i figured Id be able to scrape the old crap off with a razor whenever. Well, the razor aint cuttin it. Any suggestions? Chemicals/techniques?

I was kinda skeptical to take any kind of wire wheel or anything like that to the top of the piston. Didnt know if it would scar it or anything. Plus, I dont have an air compressor at my house

Try some carb cleaner or other anti-gunk cleaning stuff, maybe let it soak in something overnight.

Otherwise just say F' it and run it!

I would say run it. Im sure it would burn off rather quick with no bad side effects.

no, you got it.

play-doh is water soluble... just toss it in a bucket to soak, and it'll be off easily.
