Cam and heads

I know the question has been asked many times, but I searched the board and can't find a good post with what I want...

I've got a 91 305TBI engine and I'm thinking about rebuilding it, since it's got over 160k miles on it, and I want it to push some nice numbers.. I've been thinking about a 305 Stroker kit I saw, but I don't know enough about heads and camshafts to know what I want with that kit.. I still need the car to be streetable, since I don't have any other car yet.. any suggestions for the heads and cam I should look for? also, I know what the measurements of the cam and heads are, but I don't know what's good and what's bad.. if anyone can help explain this a little, I'd appreciate it.. thanks guys.

Although I built a 305 for my 1st gen. s-blazer[alum.gm.heads/crane cam/weiand 8004 etc.]. I would recommend building a 350 and leave your 305 in the car so you can still get around. It wound be easier to get the hp from a 350 and and some what cheaper, but you can get 350 hp from a 305 if your set on using it.A roller cam will get you more hp with a smoother idle than a flat tappet but I
have no experence with aftermarket rollers in a 305 so couldn't recommend.

only problem is I don't have anywhere to keep an engine to work on it when I have money.. I'd rather just keep it in my car, and pull it out at a shop when I want something done, then just drop it back in.. I'd like a 350, but I don't think I'll be going that route.. I'll probably just stick with the 305..
