I am haveing trouble using the alternator brace that is supposed to go from the back of the alt to the 1st header stud. I either have the wrong alt or wrong brace. I can fit the alt on the Driver side bracket fine. Tell me if Im wrong but the brace is supposed to go over the stud on the back of alt that is also shared with the wire from the positive battery cable. But when I put the brace over this, It wont reach the Header stud. The brace ends up about 1/2" too short. I know there is another hole on the back of the alt that you can put a bolt in but that hole, with the alt already mounted, is on the bottom to where it is right next to the head where it would be impossible to get to.
So do I have The wrong alt, Wrong brace, Both, Or am I just missing something easy.

By the way The brace I do have is 8 1/4" long from tip to tip

SECOND QUestion. The thick negative battery cable that used to be on the Old alterantor brace. Where does this now go to??????????????????????????????
