Cold starting problem

I have a 1988 formula 350 tpi.I just bought the car a few days ago, it has no codes. The problem i have is when i start the car in the morning it takes about 6 or 7 turns of the key before she will start? After she warmed up she will start up pretty good. Not the best, but good. Any help would be great on what this problem might be.
