whats the problem, i drove it a few days ago and ran great,and put it on a trailer yesterday,and it was everything it had to get onto the car dolly. and then got it to my dads,and started it to come off,and it no sooner than got off the trailer,and shutoff,never to start again. we tried and tried,tried timing,its got gas coming to it,and has spark,just wont start.....

p.s. its tpi 305 out of a 86 z28. with auto.

 

My 305tbi ws doing something similar. I had fuel vapor and air coming from my tbi unit when I stepped on it. In my case the cat was clogged. Check yours, it may be the problem.

 

Check the timing chain. Pull the distributer cap off and see if the rotor spins when you crank the engine.
