i just bought a set of afr heads. i talked to afr and told them the mods that were done to my car and i wanted it to be emissions legal. i have an 88 iroc 350 and my mods are in my sig. is there any reason why they chose 64cc for cylinder volume. i bought the 190cc

Sounds like they set you up with 64cc heads to keep your compression ratio the same as stock with the AFR's installed.I would guess that your stock L98 heads are 64cc also,at least if I remeber my friends right when we pulled them.

64cc is your combustion chamber volume. The intake runner is still 190cc, i would think. You are just a little confused. 190cc combustion chambers would give you like 2 to 1 compression.
