New PCV leak...

blah...getting annoyed with this car after a major oil leak...power steering leak and now this...

Put new PCV valves in...didnt leak before...passenger side does NOT leak and driver side DOES leak.

Did i put them in wrong..is there a right and wrong way to do it maybe someone can take a picture of one?

It drips some oil everynow and then and just puddles in the grooves of the valve cover...kinda annoying.

The grommets get old and can crack.

Should it not be only one?

Have not seen newer PCV systems, but my 87 van had two PCV valves installed when I bought it.
One side is supposed to be just a hose with no check valve installed on my kind of engine (350),and having two PCV valves installed resulted in some leaking from the pretty bad grommets at higher revolutions when vacuum is low.

Yes, there should be only one PCV valve.

ah...now i understand when i replaced them both...the passenger side was just a plastic tube which you where talking about...well seeing as i had 2 PCVs i went ahead and put one in there...

Then ill just change that back get a new grommet and see what happens with this minor oil leak.

thanks for the info guys.
