14573638 is the casting.. I can't find any info on that casting??

will this engine work in my camaro because it might be flat tappet engine?

I can't runn the casting no. for you but if the intake is off or you can take the valve covers off you can shine a flash light down in to the lifter valley and see the lifter retainers then you will know for shure if the engine is a roller or not. Also what did the engine come out of?

 

i cant find the casting number at mortec. more than likely that is a late model block?

I looked at mortec aswell and couldn't find anything..hmmm

he is saying it came out of a 87 IROC so it must be a roller engine right?

You say 1457 3638. I don't see numbers beyond the 1410's. Highly unlikely but for what it's worth I did find 1409 3638 which is described as: 87-92, 350 CID, 2 or 4 Bolt,
Roller or Flat Tappet, 1-piece rear main seal.

either way it will work dude, your other parts of your car could care less whether you have flat tappet or roller lifters lifitn your rockers....
