car won't start..... (security?!?!)

car won't start..... (security?!?!)
engine blew up.... got car towed, tow-truck company LOST MY KEYS.... garage had to get somebody to make me new keys.
keys worked fine for a while.... then every now and then ignition wouldn't work, "security" light would come on. I'd sit in the car for a couple minutes and eventually it would start so I never really worried about it. but here I sit at a computer lab on campus, car hasn't started for an hour.
what can I do to by-pass security so my keys work?!?!?! can I just cut a wire somewhere? everything in the car works fine. (except for the horn & automatic door locks which haven't worked for a couple months)
