decent combo??

i am in the process of bilding another engine for my trans am and just wanted to know if this will put out some good power. my old engine put down 270whp and 316 torque. the new combo is a gen I block {crate engine 330hp with vortec heads) , afr 180cc 74cc heads, 1.6 roller rockers, roller lifters, extreme comp 276 cam (.503, .510) and a weiand 142 blower. i just want ed a combo that will push me in the seat. -lol. i also went for the upgraded spring package on the heads due to the rockers. just want to hear from you guys your ideas and opinions. thanks

if its a GM crate i believe its got a non blower friendly 9xx:1 compression. If your going with a blower and expect a few miles out of the engine it will need a beefier rotating assembly and new heads.

My opinion: lots of $$$ but it can make a few HP

Looks like he added AFR 180/76cc heads. That will lower the compression quite abit.

that will make excellent power. i've built one similar to that for a customer. on pump gas it put down 469hp and something over 500ftlbs of torque on the engine dyno. i forget the torque number without the sheet in front of me. here's a pic of it.

thanks that one reason why i opted to get the 74cc heads to lower the compression. i am not looking to go boost crazy. maybe around 7psi, but no more than that. i really wanted to do a small nitous kit also, but i have a feeling that i am asking for trouble. the setup should give me right about 9:1 comp.

thanks for the pic zippy...

anyone else have anything to give ( comments, info, tuning) for this setup. i know the compression is a little high for boost, but it's all i have to work with being money is tight.
