attn rb83l69 or anyone reg 356k rings

i'm installing the rings on my pistons, the 2nd one has a angle grooved on it but the top and second groove rings have yellow markings on the side of them i'm just wondering if the yellow markings go on the same side? i see a dot on the top ring which means up, but the second ring, i'm not sure if the angled part goes up or down

The angle is the "up" marking.

If there's a dot, yes, it is probably the top. There is a "hierarchy" of markings: dot first, then a chamfer if there's no dot, then last of all, paint. Paint is not usually used because you lose it when you wash the rings in solvent before assembly anyway.

IIRC the markings are covered in the destructions...

thanx rb, there are no markings on the 2 oil rings, so those go in anyway correct?

Right... those have no defined top or bottom, they can go either way.
