Which aftermarket prom is best?
Ive got a 89 IROC 5.7L TPI motor. I've ported my plenum, gutted my MAF, hollow CAT, headers, 3" exhaust, ignition box, K&N filters, etc.
Anybody have a clue as to which aftermarket prom chip might work best for me?
It's basically a stock motor and I just wanted to hear about people's experience with the more common prom's out there.
Thanks

The one that you make on your own.
The only thing any off the shelfer has been able to do with a decent efficiency is lighten your wallet.

I recommend calling T.P.I. Specialties and telling them what you have done to your motor. They can burn you a custom program tailored to your modifications. They do all of the programming on my LT1 computer and do a great job. It may cost a little more than an off the shelf unit, but will be much more worth it. (Stekman is right, the off the shelf unit I bought for my 91RS TBI (Hypertech) was a joke and did successfully lighten my wallet with no return.
