Parking Lights make headlight motor spin
Parking Lights make headlight motor spin
Hi,
I've read a ton of posts on headlights already, but haven't found an answer. If I turn ON the parking lights, they go on fine, and no headlight motors come on. But when I turn the parking lights OFF, the headlight motors come on for 5 seconds, then shut off. The headlights stay down and off all the time, which is good.
Is this a switch problem? Or is it "normal" for the system to try to close down the headlights when you turn off the parking lights? (I notice the "off" position for the headlights turns off both the parking lights and the headlights.)
I know the plastic bushings might be shot. The motors spin a few seconds after the headlights go up and down, too. I just want to know if the system is supposed to try to flip down the headlights when just the parking lights get turned off.
It's an 88 GTA.
Thanks
