Crack in plastic part in gas tank...Problem?
Will the crack in the plastic part shown in the pictures cause any problems? I was reading up on 4th gens and the plastic bucket they have that creates a Venturi effect always making fuel available even when the tank is very low. Does this plastic part do the same in our tanks? Will the cracks cause any problems? I cant see fixing it without buying a new tank. I personally dont think it will cause a problem, but before I put it all back together I want to make sure. Here are the pics. Thanks.

Other than the obvious, like a piece of it breaking off, I can't see a problem with it.
Even if a piece does break off, I'd hope the sock on the end of the pump would stop it.
