Weird rattleing at low rpm's
Well I just put on a double-roller timing chain with some helpful replies from this site. For a while now at low rpm's I would hear a weird rattleing sound. I thought it was just my timing chain. The weird rattleing sound is still there.
I did check the FAQ page but the transmission problem says,"especially while in reverse." In reverse I'm fine, it's only when I take off under normal conditions. Could it be that I need that update for my tranny or something else? Any suggestion?

sounds like exhaust by what your describing. If you know where your cat is you can hit it with a hammer and see if you hear the noise there are ceramic bricks inside that tend to break loose when it gets old. If so you need a new converter.

Well I did replace it earlier this year and I bought a cheapo from Autozone. I hear they only last a year, if you're lucky. If I break out the that stuff that is inside will it stress out any parts like my O2 sensor or my smog pump? Just wondering because the cat has a return pipe.

That's actually a feed pipe going into the cats from the AIR pump. Nothing flows out of the cat thru there.

Hopefully I'll have time to check out the cat tomorrow. With work and retro fitting a '61 chevy pick-up(not mine), I've been neglecting my camaro.
