air cleaner questions.

well i want to get an open element like, i posted before, and i have a few questions. first off, i had an 84 lg4, what were the dimensions of it? 14x2 3/4? with a 1/4 drop? i have a performer intake now which sits just a little higher, but the cleaner comes pretty close to my hood (LU5 hood). i dont think i could fit a 3" in, do they make 2" elements? heightwise that is? any help appreciated

Yea, K&N make 2" filters. I got mine at Auto Zone. The clerk and I took 2 or 3 filters out to my car and tried them to see which one fit the best. I ended up with a 9 x 3. I'm not familiar with all the engine codes "lgo4" You may have a clearance problem with the new maifold. But if you get a helpful person at the parts store it shouldn't have a problem.

do you guys know if moroso makes a 2", and i really dont want a 9xXX so do they make 14x2? i ask if moroso makes a 2" cause 1) i dont want chrome (they make a nice anodized one) and 2) i dont want a filter element that will just do nothing because it is too big as i would have to buy another...if that made sense, cool
