no fuel problem
no fuel problem
the car starts fine if i pour gas in the carb. i ran an edelbrock mechanical pump first but it wasnt sucking gas. Then i found out there was no lobe for the push rod on my engine. so i ran a purolator universal electrical pump. i ran one wire to ground and the other to the coil, (i ran the red wire and plugged it into the distributor cap). i turn key i hear nothing, i try to start it it still doesnt start untill i put some gas in the carb. I had the fuel line in a gas can to see if it would suck because i didnt take the origional in tank pump out yet, i just disabled it. can somebody tell me what i did wrong?
Don't connect the pump power source to the coil source. Find a different source for the IGN circuit, like the fuse panel.
