Testing VSS
a freind of mine has a 92 RS v-6.
her speedometer doesn't work.
HOw can i distigish the problem from the VSS or the actuall guage?

I had a problem with my vss when I put the engine into my truck....the wire got cut, but a small part of the insulation didn't, so it was still hanging there, and it took me awhile to notice it. Anyhow, I finally determined that it was indeed the vss, cause when going 60 on the highway, I'd let off the gas and the rpms would go down to idle...give it gas, bring rpms back to whatever. Also the converter wouldn't lock up.
This is obviouisly if you have a 700r4.
