While The Carburator Is Off
I replaced the intake gaskets last fall, because of a coolant leak.
I see that there is OIL pooling under the throttle lever, as well as in the same spot, but on the right side of the intake manifold.
Because the manifold only handles coolant, fuel/air mixture, and exhaust recirculation, I need to find the source.
It is NOT the valve-cover gaskets.
I believe that the oil is running up the threads of two bolts. Is there a pressurized oil galley under the bolts?
While the carburator is out, I need to remove the two bolts, and teflon-tape them, I guess.
Thoughts?
Thanks Again,
Seth

I have had the same problem with oil seeping out from the center 2 bolts on each side. My solution was just put a gob of silicone on the bolts before i threaded them in and not a drop since.

The intake bolts need to be sealed, some of them run into coolant passages in the heads, and sometimes oil likes to wick up the rest.
