lifters and setting lash

ok so when setting my lash i noticed one thing. some of the rockers i could press on the back and spring the pushrod into the lifter and others i couldnt. for example on cyl 1 i set my lash at zero gave it a 1/4 turn pash zero lash. those rockers are set. i did the same for both. On the exhaust side rocker after i set the lash i could push on the back of the roller rocker and the push rod would plunge into the lifter fairly easy. on the intake side it wouldnt plunge in at all. as i was going through i noticed that some would and some wouldnt. i assume this is normal?? The car hasnt been started in a few weeks so im hoping the lifters just got a little dry.

If I recall, mine were kind of like that when I first set them. Once I primed the engine they all tightened up real nice.
