What is the spring I have on the side of my block. The motor has an engine oil coller and its right above the oil filter its some spring just sitting in the block and I can pull it out. Anyone know what that is? I know thats not suposed to be like that what is it i need to fix it?

my guess is it's on the y pipe to manifold, only thing i can think of, a pic would be nice
