i have a problem with my a/c on my camaro for some reason it will only blow out the defrost..no matter what i put it on ...oh and it worked great till a cpl of days ago..could have i done something while taking the smog pump off that would cause this problem....any help is appericated...

 

Sounds like you knocked off the vacuum line that supplies the HVAC controls. If you have TPI, it is on the passenger side, and connnects to the rear of the intake plenum. Or, you may have knocked something off elsewhere, in any case, a vacuum leak will prevent the controls from working correctly.

Defrost is the default position.

 

I have the same problem. My Vacuum line is hooked up to the phlenum but cannot find any diagrams to show where they go from there. I know they go down to the cannister but where do they go into trhe dash. Does anyone have any diagrams or know where I can go look

 

What type of pulleys are you running?

 

Take out the controls for the heater/ac. The vacuum lines run into the back of that.
