Stroking my 350...
Well i dont have the rotating assembly yet, im thinking of an eagle kit w/ 5.7" rods.
Im new to the whole stroking thing and wondering what all needs to be clearanced in the block to get this thing in there?
Ive done a few searches and didnt come up with much, anyone got pics of whats been clearanced?

depends on the rods, or rod bolts, but as a rule you'll need to remove metal around the oil pan rail and maybe the bottom of the cylinders. filling a inch or so of the block with grout will help in case you hit "water". a small base circle cam will help and rods that use cap screws will help you out a lot

So theirs not many different spots that need grinding then i guess, that doesnt seem too bad as long as i dont have to gring 20lbs of metal out of the block
Hehe, i could just see the look on my face right now when i fire it up and my block instantly fills with water...
For the compression ratio, think i could get away with 9.5:1 on cast heads on 91octane?

if you wanna talk to a really good source PM thebigwelsh.
He is building my 383 to hold 500 HP N/A. It is gonna be a screamer and internally balanced.
He is making out of a 79 tuck, solid camed block, and converting it to a roller cam. (this is gonna be a street motor, lol)
He will help you out, or build you a short block for less than you can build it.
He is giving me a KILLER deal on mine, full motor.
