steering box ratio?

Hello all,
I have a 1989 Firebird, VIN Code E. My question is how can I find the ratio of my steering box?

What is the advantage of the quick response box and is this steering box have a higher ratio?

Any and all comments are greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Brad

The gear ratio of the steeering box on WS6 cars was 12.7:1. The WS6 cars also got steering stops offset to limit wheel travel for the wider wheels and tires.

I'm not sure if the early/"standard" boxes had a different ratio, or what it was.
