I HATE my car right now

First off, 1990 3.1L.

Ok, I just spent all day today trying to fix my exhaust leak . The 2 bolts on the number 5 exhaust port had broken off so I was able to get 1 of them out but the other broke off inside the head. So I put the manifold back on with a gasket and just 1 bolt on #5 but now my leak is WORSE!! And I can't figure out where the hell it's coming from.

So here's my question. I need to determine if it's coming from the manifold/EGR or if it's the AIR Injection and I want to plug the A.I.R. fitting AT THE MANIFOLD. WHERE CAN I FIND A PLUG TO FIT THAT SIZE HOLE??? (23mm head) You V6 guys with no A.I.R., does your passenger side manifold have a plug to block off that hole?? I need to fix this ASAP.

Sure it's not coming from the y-pipe, when I first bought my car I had a leak there.

No, it was initially leaking from the y-pipe but i went back and re-tightend the bolts. After that it stopped sounding like a motor bike but there is still a noticable leak. It seems to be coming from the front half of the engine.

The manifolds on my V6 don't have holes, but I would assume that they would be the same size as the V8's. Someone has mentioned what size they are in the past messages, so you should be able to find it in the archives.

Good luck.

No, the V8 manifolds have small A.I.R. fittings on each exhaust port. My A.I.R. system just has one large fitting (w/23mm head) that goes into the passenger side manifold.
