What is this engine,can't seem to find codes

Found design code V0325SNB & 2HN262265 serial# Trying to decipher from message boards ,can't seem to locate these codes. Help, Newbie

Try getting a casting number, probably the only way to figure out what it is.

Engine suffix codes

Found the engine suffix codes from friends at Chevy High Performance then sent me to www.chevymania.com. I'm still going to try to get the casting #s ,curious what they are???

V = Flint engine plant
0325 = March 25
SNB = 1987 350 L98

2HN262265 is the last part of the vehicles vin #. There will be 8 digits before that one. You can almost make the original vehicles vin # from the above information. Providing it came from a Camaro and not a Firebird and providing it was made in the USA and not Canada. Find this car and you'll probably find the car the engine originally came from.

1G1BP2182HN262265

At least you were able to find the important numbers on the block. Casting numbers don't tell you very much and not many people are able to find the stamped in numbers. If the block ever gets decked, those numbers will be machined off.
