motor died twice last nite

What would cause my 350 TPI to die while driving? It seem to be an ignition problem since the motor just dies and will start back up. the car has an auto trans. and about 9,000 mi. and until now has been totally reliable.

thanks

The first thing I would check is your ignition module in the distibutor. Your local auto parts store can usally test these, but you might want to call them to see if they can. Had this same problem a while back and it turned out to be a bad ignition module. My car died on me going down the road, but it would not start back up. The ignition module would be my first check. Hope this helps.
