New locks and retainers needed?

Installing new Comp 983-16's 1.25in spring to refresh a stock set of spring for a Cast set of L98 Heads and to handle the new cam. 463/470 Lift. Can I get away with the stock retainers and locks or should I reuse the retainers and new locks, vise versa, or all new.

i'd trash the factory retainer and rotators and buy a set of retainers from comp or lunati and most likly reuse the locks

Just remember if you do ditch the stock rotator/retainers and replace them with standard retainers you must shim the exhaust valve spring about 1/16" to make up for the difference in retainer thickness (affects the spring's installed height).

For a stock or nearly stock refresh I would keep reusing the stock parts myself. Yes, even the lousy rotator/retainers.
