um.....

ok I have a 92 camaro it recently had a v6 in it so i upgraded it to a 350 carbed motor I really like it alot but theres one problem ive been having problems keeping th battery charged up ive bought a new bat and altenator i had them both checked out today for problems and they came back fine I ran all new wiring to alt and battery today also and made sure my body to chassis ground was good and it was, ive checked for loose wires and there isnt any, I dont know what else to look for the only aftermarket stuff on the motor that might drain the battery down are a cd player a aftermarket ignition, and a eletric fan but i dont use it half the time what else could it be? the volts gauge says it is low its a little less than half but it holds there for a long time but never goes up, when i rev the motor up the volts still stay the same they dont move anywhere but down but it takes a little while before it is to low to start the car!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!!?!!?

disconnect the battery and take a voltmeter. Set it on amperage and run it inline with the battery and the positive terminal. That'll give you an amperage draw and give you an idea of what circuit to look for. My suspicion would be the ignition box or radio is connected wrong. or shorted out inside.

No offense, but periods would be nice. Makes it easier to read.

Hows the alternator hooked up? There are secondary lines going to the alternator that need +12 volts when the key is in the on position. This is needed so the alternator energizes. Without it, theres no back EMF and the alternator doesnt work.

sorry about the periods i didnt think that was a big deal. But anywho the wires that are running to the altenator um.... there are three running to it, one that runs from the alt to the postive baterry cable then the other two go in the wire loom ill have to check and post back up later on exactly where every thing is going thats what i think it is off the top of my head!?!

You made it sound as though you ran new wiring. If the wiring is stock then just make sure the two smaller red wires have +12 volts with the key on.

sounds like a parasitic draw to me. Check the amperage draw.

sounds like a bad voltage regulator to me,takes a few hours to lose all current?
probably built into the alternator, try a new one.
