Vacume leak?

Vacume leak?

ok, i ahve a vaccum leak somewhere, the line that goes from the manifold to the stock air cleaner i took off when i put on my open element, could that be it, should i plug it up??? i also broke a small plastic line going to the intake or tbi, how can i fix that????

Yes, you should plug the port on the throttle body that used to connect to the air cleaner. That is a definite vac. leak.

To fix the plastic line you broke, you'll have to pick up some from an auto parts store. If they don't have the plastic type, you'll have to use a rubber line, just try to get the size closest (inner diameter) to the broken plastic one. Sometimes, if the plastic isn't too brittle, you can use a short length of rubber hose to connect the two ends of the plastic line where they broke.
