Please help quick--how do I remove valve covers?

Seriously, I have a 91 305, tpi. I took out the four bolts and took out the bolt that goes into the intake manifold that holds down a bracket that holds some wires (driver's side).

I have pulled pretty hard and the valve covers don't show any signs of moving? Is there something other than the four center bolts holding them down?

Yeah, years of encrusted oil and rubber gasket. Pull harder.

Ok, thanks, y'all. I was afraid that there was some extra thing holding them down and I'd bend the VCs or something.

However, this has been very typical of working on my car. I love the car, but oh my G o d is it a pain to work on. It took my about 12 hours to get the exhaust manifolds off, with those stupid sheet metal tabs blocking the bolts that I can barely reach anyway. Think how much it cost to put all that stuff on our cars that was designed to prevent people from messing with them. It cost money and time to put it on, and it costs us our time (and money for dremel cutting wheels) to get it off. What a waste!
