Spark Plug Removal

All:

I have an 89 IROC with a 5.7. Is there a method to removing the spark plugs on the passenger side of the vehicle. What do I have to remove if anything?

I and thinking that from underneath might be a good idea but i've only had the car for a few weeks and have no f body experience.

thanks!

Underneath ... make sure you have a rather deep spark plug socket ... when I changed mine I had to run and get a deeper socket than the one I had .. plus .. do it before the stores may close ... in case you wreck one of the spark plug wires (some of them rip when ya remove them)

Underneath def. sounds like the way to go. When I did mine, I covered my fenders and bumper w/ summit fender covers and layed on top of the motor. It took a little work but they all came out...and went back in. It may also be handy to have one of those spark plug ratchets where the handle bends, or one of thoes little thumb wheel ratchets (looks like the head of a ratchet w/ no handle). I also saw a ratchet by stanley on their website that has a feature so it works like a regular ratchet, but you can also turn the handle like a screw driver and the socket will turn as usual.

Edit: I forgot to agree with vorgath about the wires ripping. Be VERY careful. Mine ripped right out of the boot, so if you cant get a real good grip on the boot, DON'T FORCE IT!
