Just wondering

When I pull my heads off again this winter I was going to try and get some better flow out of the exhaust side by doing some port work. I'll be running a 224/230 @112 cam next spring with an HSR.
The heads are Sportsman II's, I see the intake side is pretty good but thay could use a bit of help on the outgoing side. I figured it will take more than smoothing to make them better so I'm trying to be sure I'm not going to make a balance problem.
With that said, How can I rig up a flow test to ensure I'm getting equal flow from my work?
I'd hate to find (or not find) that one cylinder flows much more than the next.
Is there an easy way to do a garage setup for measuring pressure drop or actual air flow or should I just try to keep the smoothing equal and go with it?
TIA

Even if you could rig up something I would question it's results. You would be better off taking them to a speed shop that has a real flow bench.

Awww come on! I had my leaf blower all ready to go
Realy though, Do you know the measuring tecnique used?
Do they really measure the flow with a device like a turbine meter or is it done by differential pressure measurement?
I've never seen one thats why I'm curious. I know that putting an actual measuring device in the line can cause its own pressure drop and has to be accounted for. Pressure seems to be an easier way so I'm guessing thats how its done.
I'm trying to not have to pay for multiple tests to check progress.
How close of a balance tolerance should I be shooting for?

Can you post a picture of your leaf blower powered flow bench? I used one once so I'm not sure how it works but you set a certain amount of air flow and after it goes through what you are testing it pushed a ball up a graduated tube.

Ok, that's what I was needing to know.
A tapered glass tube with a ball in it would at least give me an indication of equality. Not an exact measurement but something to base changes on.
Now to find some parts...

I could do a straight tube with incremental radial holes in it to provide a gradual opening and then use a ping-pong ball with a measuring stick on top of it. Might just do the trick if I can keep the input pressure constant from the compressor.

Just had a thought (need a little guy with light bulb here)
I have an old working MAF from a 95 LT-1. I might be able to rig that up and measure the output.
Does anyone know if it is just a voltage output?
5v in, 0-5V out?
If it is, I could just read that on a meter.

The '95 MAF will be the frequency modulated output type. You'll need to watch the output with an oscilloscope or frequency counter, the latter being the more practical.

What is the output voltage and range of frequency?
Thanks,
