Open Throttle in First gear, woops....
I was drivin my sis's '00 Grand Cherokee the other day. I was comin from a stop sign, mergin on to the road. After I get on the road I floor it, then I hit Open Throttle. All of a sudden the car starts rockin back and forth, I'm like what the fvck?! Felt like anti lock brakes, but worse. I look at the gear, oh ****, its in First! WOOPS! I guess when I pulled the gear down (from reverse, getting out of parking spot), I must have pushed the button in by accident. And instead of dropping into D, I dropped into 1. So I let off the gas, changed it back into D. Whew. So what was the rocking back and forth, was that the Rev Limiter? What was that?

Yeah, I would say that it was most likely the rev limiter.... If that vehicle was a little smarter it would have upshifted for you - a lot of GM transmissions will actually ignore the shifter position and upshift the transmission if it is accidently left in too low of a gear and you keep bouncing off the rev limiter.... But Chrysler can't make a decent transmission to save their lives, so.......
