If your car has not been changed over to the sd you have a maf system and the maf is located inbetween the throttle body and the air filter the wires that are hooked up to it come from the pass side in the wire loom that runs along the pass. side front subframe rail.

The wires to the maf are
1. black and white
1. dark green
1. solid black
1. red
1. dark blue

The reason I think you are talking about the mass air flow sensor is that 89 cars don't have a map sensor. The map is a little rectangular box that is mounted on the pass side on the back of the plenum if the car has been changed I have no idea what to tell you.

The new engine is in but I am still having some small problems.

if its located ON the plenum then its the MAT. i think the MAP is located elseware and have a vacuum hose running to it.

im not sure the color of the wires or which wire bundle its connected to, i guess i can look tomorrow if u don't get it figured out.

The sensor you're referring to in the plenum is the MAT (Manifold Air Temp). If that's what you're talking about then look for the connector in the wiring harness on the firewall on the passenger side. It may be hard to find. The two wires going to it are black and tan according to my Haynes manual.

9 bolt Borg Warner Rear (2.77's....oh joy) :P
6" rods, approx. 9.7:1 Compression, Stock TPI (soon to be ported), 24#/hr LTI injectors (cleaned and flowmatched by Cruizin Performance), Hedman Shorty Headers, 3" exhaust with 80 series flowmaster, SBC 993 heads completely redone and modified for 1.6 RR, 1.52 RR (for now), Comp Cams XE262-14 TPI Cam, Holley AFPR, TPIS airfoil, MSD wires, MSD 6-AL Ignition, Hypertech 53,000 volt coil.

Track times to come.

yeah its the MAT sensor. I just cant find the wire on the harness any where. How does it make my car run any worse cause thats the only code i get is for that sensor. I really need to find that wire and I really dont wanna pay someone to hook it up for me. Oh ya by the way I see 2 wires back there a tan and black coming off the harness, but they are grounded to the intake bolts.
