It's probably happened 3-4 times since I got my car in April of 2001...

It's bothersome, and I'm convinced it's caused by something deeper thats raping me behind my back somewhere.

Anyone have any ideas...? Slow IAC (passages are clean), missfire related (although it doesn't miss really when it runs for the 2 seconds before it dies... it doesn't really begin to miss until the idle idles down.)

What can you say?

I have the EXACT same problem. I'd say its happened maybe twice since I got the car in the beginning summer. I'll start it, and it'll idle for a second, then die. Starts right back up but its just kinda wierd....

fuel pump is brand new...

It could be injectors, I have a new set here waiting to be put in... they're being sent out in 2week to a month from now...

timing chain, again, another possibility, thats being changed in 2weeks-1month from now..

(note, I get paid every 2 weeks...) :-)

Thanks for the input though.

My car did that occasionally... New fuel filter, fixed a vacuum leak, and replaced the IAC and TPS.. One of those things fixed it. heh.
