Oil comming from the dipstick hole!

There is engine oil coming out of the dipstick hole and I can see little drops of oil on my plug wires. I am positive that the oil is coming from that hole.

Is this normal?

I have the dipstick pushed in all the way. It must be sipping past it somehow.

It just makes my wires look like crap.

Also when the car is still cold and when I drive it the oil pressure gauge goes all the way to the top passed the maximum mark.

Would that have to do something with this dipstick situation?

Can anybody suggest something!

Oil will spray out the dipstick if crankcase pressure builds up. Check to make sure your PCV valve, hose and where it attaches to are not plugged up in any way. Also, check your valvecover breather hose that plugs in the oppositve valve cover from the PCV valve, too.

Buy a new dipstick, too. They have a little rubber gasket inside at the top and it ofen gets chewed up and worn out, sometimes allowing oil to leak past.
