Question about vortec heads and accessory brackets
I have an 82 camaro with the v-belt accessory system. A/C is on the driver's side up high. If I switch to an engine with vortec heads, all the accessory holes will still line up properly right? The bracket I'm mostly concerened about is on my a/c. There is a support rod that bolts to the top of the a/c bracket and the second bolt of the intake manifold. The vortec heads eliminated some bolts from the traditional style intake bolt pattern right? Is this bolt still in the same place or fairly close?

The intake bolts on Vortec style manifolds
are vertical to the ground ( angled in the heads) and in a different position. That would require you to modify your A/C support
bracket to anchor it on one of the intake bolts.
