a/c clutch question

I have my A/C clutch wire detached right now, because it kept kicking on and off every 10 seconds (which I still don't know the cause of, other than maybe the connector). The little connector that plugs the wire to the prongs on the A/C clutch was melted and fried looking, and when I touched the wire it fell off (connector off a/c clutch prongs). I'm not sure if this would matter at all to my heater, because it seems that my heater has been weak lately. When I hit bumps the heater kicks off for a few minutes, so I'm guessing that I have another loose connection somewhere. So, does the a/c clutch affect the heater, and where could I check for loose connections on the heating system?

i would first check all the connections up on the firewall and make sure that they aren't corroded/loose. it could be a loose ground. my friend had a similar problem on his bird, turns out the ground wire came loose(ground on the rear, pass head).

the compressor kicking in and out is most likely low freon. the compressor does nothing for the heater although it does work for the defrost to take the moisture out of the air being blown on the windshield. if your blower goes out over bumps, get it working and wiggle wires under the hood and under the dash related to the heating system and see if you get it to fail or something. Take a screwdriver and tap on the blower motor with the handle and see if it does anything.
