car died tonite, im buffled....
car died tonite, im buffled....
for about a year and a half she's been running great. but today on the way back from school it stuttered then died, i had to pull off the road. i waited for about 10 minutes, attempted to start her again and she fired up then died almost immediately. then it just wouldnt kick again. it just whines and whines like the batterey is dead.
-things ive checked so far..
battery terminals
all connections
leaks
ran for codes...got a 24, then 12 and 24 repeated
i think my sig will show what i have in my car, but im not sure.

86 camaro cpe(dont laugh)has 92z28 body kit with GTS covers, new red paint and a killer stereo. 2 amps, 8 speakers, disc changer, custom install with subs coming by the end of the summer. gm 350,TES headers, flowmaster cat back, performer manifold, TCI converter, jet chip, kn with dual snorkel cleaner. and she still passed the sniffer!

ok, i replaced the coil. it started for a about 10 seconds, then when i went to rev a little higher it stuttered then died. and i cant get it started. it just cranks but wont turn. so does that mean its the module that needs to be replaced?

Still died even when you replaced the coil? Take the new one back to the store and get your money back. What type of motor do you have? Is is carb or FI? As far as a code 12, that is normal and a code 24 would deal with your vehicle speed sensor.

Next time you try to start it, take the air cleaner off and see if you are getting any fuel when you turn the car over.

My car only uses Mobil 1 synthetic fluids.

You could also try putting starter fluid in the carb since you have a mechanical pump.
