Mid Mount Alt and PS Pump Brackets...Serpentine
im running only the alt, crank, w.p., and ps pump pulleys on my 1991 serp car (long w.p.).
i broke the alt and ps pump bracket (drivers side) and now would like to mid-mount my alt on the pass side and mount my ps pump back in approx the same location it is now.
i just want to get the alt out of the way of the drivers head and even out the look of the motor.
anyone know what brackets would allow me to do this and keep my serp pulleys??? ive searched for weeks for something to do but still dont know what would work.
i would like this bracket from summit but it mounts the alt too high i think and says only for standard rotation w.p....http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...-20121&FROM=MG
then im thinking about this ps pump bracket but will it work? http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...340100&FROM=MG
and finally i was looking at these brackets but i am still unsure if they would work because they say they are designed for electric w.p. only....http://www.alangrovecomponents.com/S...ctric_Pump.htm

I used the March alternator bracket and water pump pulley with the stock crank and alternator pulley. If I wanted to add PS all I have to do is get the 2-belt crank pulley and the PS bracket.

i think ill go with that alt bracket. id like it a little lower but i guess thats better than nothing.
is there a ps pump bracket that would line the ps pump pulley with the alt, crank, and w.p. pulleys???

I did what you're wanting to do with the alan grove bracket with a little modification. Scroll down about 2/3rd the way.

i like the way that looks iroc. i defenitly want my alt on the pass side now and ps pump on the right side.
right now i have 2 options for the alt mounting...get this summit alt bracket (if it fits) http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...-20121&FROM=MG.
OR
i can get the electric water pump bracket listed here http://www.alangrovecomponents.com/S...ctric_Pump.htm . with this one i will need a tensioner for wp contact. ill worry about the ps pump after i figure out the alt.
My questions....
1. will both the brackets line the pulleys up correctly?
2. will my 1991 alt work with either bracket? (or can it be made to work)
3. will the march bracket work because it says for standard rotation wp's?
finally...i have a stewart stage II water pump and will the brackets be able to bolt up to it fine???

1. The bracket will line up correct, you just have to cut the 2 spacers that go to the water pump to the right length.
2. The 91 alternator will not work with either bracket...you need one with 6 and 12 o'clock mounting points. I recommend one from an 87 Camaro because I think it's a 105 amp alt.
3. On standard rotation pumps there are 2 mount bosses cast in on the front of the pump. Also it has a 3rd mount point at top of the pump. The March bracket mounts to these points. Reverse rotation pumps don't have them. Is that Stewart pump reverse rotation?
