EGR systems & code 32

EGR systems & code 32
I'm getting a code 32 on an 87 Camaro 2.8L V6. The vacuum lines on the system looks ok but I'm only familiar with the older EGR systems and don't know what the other things do. I know what the purge/cannister system is but there is two other black items. One is under the TPI plenum on the intake manifold and has a vacuum line to it as well as a black cylinderical shaped thing just aft of the EGR with another part of that vacuum system going to it. I think this one has wires to it also. I have no vacuum to the EGR valve. I can move the diaphram type think up and it causes rough idle so apparently the passages are open.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to check the rest of the EGR system out? I'd sure appreciate the help.

hey bro, You might want to check with the V6 group. They will be able to help on that. Im not sure if things are the same for a V8 setup.
