anything is possible with enough cash. they made a bike with a viper motor... you got to be able to fit it in a 3'rd gen. probley cost 40k though.

Yup i think that is it.. sick *** bike i heard they dont have real 0-60 times because no one can hold on long enough at wot. I would love to try. hehehe
The real question should be "Why settle for a mere 450HP, and a transmission that can't handle even that?" rather than if it can be done. Of course it can be done. It's just so much easier to fit in a BBC and make some real HP and torque. You can buy a crate engine from GMPP, with a warranty, that makes way more power than a Dodge V-10, And the BBC is actually balanced, so the crank doesn't snap after a few hard runs.

Sounds like a great idea; good way to soak up that surplus of all those Viper engines you see just laying around going to waste because there aren't enough Vipers in the world to absorb them all.
Seriously, for the time trouble and expense of doing all that, you can spend a quarter as much of each, and get more power with some slightly less foreign motor.... a big block Chevy for example. Unless you either just happen to have one of those excess Viper motors cluttering the landscape everywhere, and a thirdgen missing a motor and trans, or you're just a dyed-in-the-wool Viper kind of guy and know nothing whatsoever about Chevrolet motors, there's a helluvalot more better ways to go fast than that.

The SRT engine is 500
and will install in a Chevrolet
for a fraction of the cost of buying all that stuff that doesn't fit without fighting some kind of a war.

Viper crates are only about $14,000 these days. Thats on par with the LS7 and 572 crate Hemi's. Now, could you go faster cheaper? Of course, but then that's not the point of a swap like this, is it?
