What would the difference be in the pistons and all the bearings from the old 2piece seal to the 1piece seal engines? The reason I am asking is that northern has a rebuild kit for $150 but it is for the old block well, I have all the gskts. that are specific to the new blocks are there any hard parts specific to the new blocks? besides the cam & lifters.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the main bearings are possibly the only thing different? The rod bearings etc should all be the same.
