Pressure in my gas tank .......sorry about the diffrent qustion in the other post
I have an 86 IROC-Z 305 TPI. My car will start stalling after about driving for an hour. But it only stalls below 2000 rpm. If I open the gas tank there is a lot of pressure that comes out. Then the car will run fine for about another hour. Then the same thing happens all over again. So can any one please help me?

I picked up one of those fill without removing the cap caps that someone left at the gas pump. It has a flap door to allow the pump nozzle in and I think it lets some pressure escape. I used to just leave the cap a little loose.
