Cam Selection

Hey, I was wondering if you guys would help me pick out a cam for my Camaro. So far I have a 305 4-barrel with headers and 3 inch exhaust. It's also chipped and it has M.T. Sportsman "I" tires. I seem to have a good amount of low-end torque at the moment- but any gains would be great within reasonable price and gas mileage. If needed, I'm willing to replace some or all of the parts to the valvetrain. Thanks for the help

Several people on this board have the Comp XE262H in similar motors, with good results. If you do that, plus a set of better rockers such as the Comp 1412s, and the valve springs they suggest for going with that cam (981s), you should be good to go.

I'd strongly suggest doing a pocket port job on the heads at the same time.

With those mods, I would guess you should pick up 35-40 HP. After that, the next thing you should consider is some gears.
