Hard starting
Lately my car had had trouble starting, especially at the beginning of the day. When I crank the engine for the first time, it won't turn over and I see a little white smoke come out from under the hood. After about 8-10 times of cranking the engine about 8 sec at a time, the car finally starts. When it starts up it runs very, very rough, almost like it's not running on all cylinders. After running for about a minute, it starts running smooth. I'm pretty sure it's ignition related, but I was just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience so I can more easily pinpoint the problem. Thanks

Running a carb or EFI setup?
If its a carb my first guess would be the choke is either improperly adjusted or foobared.

Running a carb, choke seems to be working fine. Initial timing set at 8*. Haven't had this problem before- it's been starting fine for a long time and this problem just started a couple of days ago.

Just wanted to post this in case anyone else is having the same problem. I replaced the ignition coil and everything starts up great now. Thanks for your replies.
